8th Station - Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise you. For by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
Verse: A large crowd of people followed Jesus, including many women who mourned and lamented him. Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children”. (Luke 34:27-28)
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, through all You suffered, You did not look for pity, but instead continued to be concerned for others. I weep for my sins, and for the sins of my children and grand-children. Jesus, I repent of all my sins. I love You with all my heart. Holy Spirit, grant that I never seek to be consoled, but rather to console others. Amen.
